Pentagram

The pentagram is a very familiar symbol in popular culture. It is a very sacred symble to pagans and Wiccans. Mathmatically the segments of the pentagram exhibit the golden ratio, thats why it looks so good to our human eyes. As well as being an important symbol of our faith . It represents to us the five elements, air, fire, water, earth and spirit.

Elements

Air , a mixture of gasses which we cannot do without. For Wiccans it represents the East Quarter, spring and its colour is yellow. It symbolises communication, life, knowledge. Sylphs are the invisable creatures of air.

Fire, the heat, thermal energy, it represents the south quarter, the summer and its colour is red. It can transform, burn, give us strength and courage. Salamander are the invisable creatures of fire.

Water, refreshing or dangerous water, without it we cant live. Blue is its colour it represents the western quarter, healing, magic, purifucation and the Autumn. Undine is the invisable creature of water.

Earth, the North, winter and its colour is green. It grounds us and roots us to the planet. Stoic and sacred, we point our altars to the place of our ancestors. Gnome is the invisable creature.
